Although my family roots are in Europe and the East Coast, I'm technically a product of the Midwest, having spent my childhood playing in the woods of Wisconsin and on shores of Lake Michigan. My parents thought it important we see the world so I was fortunate enough to travel quite a bit as a child. As a young adult, I spent my twenties working freelance in New York City and on the shores of Southern California through my thirties. When not teaching or working on films, tv shows, or commercials, I try to get out and absorb this great world we live in. Whether surfing the waves of the Pacific Ocean or the crowds of a bustling city, inspiration comes in many forms and from everywhere. The challenge is to "unplug" ourselves and breath it in. Now, I've returned to the Midwest to start a family. As a husband, father, filmmaker, and college professor, I feel fortunate to have been given the perspective and wisdom of many different environments while capturing the gems in moments that occur along the way...
